service for the community, through its inspectorate service. In addition, its
comprehensive public engagement programme is geared to drive education and
awareness of animal welfare.

people of Auckland and pet owners, the organisation has a clear strategy for
the future and is focused on evidence-based decision making to deliver
sustainably on its charitable purpose.
After
steady leadership and a period of growth, SPCA Auckland is in a strong
financial and operational position. The CEO’s role is to continue the journey
of financial sustainability while delivering a wide range of strategic
initiatives and operational services to the highest standards. As a key
spokesperson for SPCA Auckland, the CEO is responsible for building and
maintaining the organisation’s reputation and credibility and ensuring
effective interaction with a wide variety of key stakeholders.
This
is a challenging and interesting CEO position given the organisation’s vision,
values and aspirations and the complexity and breadth of SPCA Auckland’s
operations. Education, animal advocacy, brand integrity management, revenue
generation, people leadership, animal welfare, prosecutions, donor development
and external stakeholder relations are just some of those responsibilities.
Candidates
will have a successful track record in operational and strategic leadership and
have demonstrated their ability to execute strategy in a complex environment
with multiple stakeholders. An understanding of organisational processes and
systems along with commercial acumen and exceptional interpersonal skills will
be critical.
